Best RV places in Lake Havasu
We are trying to arrange a trip to Northern Arizona in mid-May with first Arizona stop at Lake Havasu. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be many good online reviews. We are traveling in a 39' foot class C with a tow and a small dog. We like cable and full hookups with WiFi and we are seniors. Any ideas? Thank you very much.

Unless you're going there for a real purpose of visiting someone, I hope you realize that you will likely have temps over 100 deg in May. Havasu isn't really considered 'northern Arizona'. For cool temps you have to be around Flagstaff, Jacob Lake/North Rim of the Grand Canyon or up on 'the Rim' around Show Low over to Greer. You need to be at 6000' elevation and above for cool temps.
Here are parks at Havasu:

Actually, mid-May is pretty nice weather in that part of the country.

Best RV places in Lake Havasu
Thank you very much. sounds like we might have to rethink taking the route through Lake Havasu. We're coming from California to Barstow on up to Williams (Grand Canyon) to Holbrook and back down. Are there any other suggestions besides Lake Havasu? Thank you.

Correction: our MH is a 29' class C, not 39' as previously stated. Lol

We stayed at the state park there in December. It's a nice park, good spaces, easy access to the lake, and about five minutes from the London Bridge. There were quite a few friendly people there, and weather was nice and cool. Don't remember if it had cable or wifi tho, as we carry our own with us.

Anyone know of a better route to get to the Grand Canyon without going through Lake Havasu from Santa Barbara area? Thank you.

We stayed at the Lake Havasu State Park this past December also. They only have power and water at the campsites.

RE: An alternate route.... none. I-40 is your best bet. Spending a night a Havasu is certainly doable. Then move on. That whole I-40 route is very desolate and boring.
Get through it fast and use any extra days for touring around Flagstaff... very cool and some great Indian ruins and volcano ruins to tour. On your return to Santa Barbara go up a ways on CA 395 - beautiful country and cooler once you pass Bishop. Perhaps even doing a circle tour via 395 and down to Sacramento back home. Are you retired? If so, take more time for this trip.
