Best Time of Year to Sell Used RV??

We are planning on upgrading to a motorhome from a fifth wheel in the near future depending on when the fifth wheel is sold.

Are certain times of the year better than others? I would think winter time was not the best and spring/summer would be the best. But what do I know.

I think it may depend where you are. Here in Fl. the winter is a good time to sell as there is an influx :-( of people . Winter is also a good time as the new owner will want to begin using it as soon as possible in the Spring and most would not want to buy it at the end of camping season.

Good luck

Having just shopped for and bought a used motorhome (Class A diesel) I can tell you that there were four that sold out from underneath us before we could look at them. In the middle of the winter!

They were all priced below what many others were asking for the same coach, so that is obviously a factor. We ended up traveling 1800 miles to pick it up from a private seller, so location isn't always a factor.

The person we bought from said his sat for a while, but once we committed he started getting a lot more calls. I believe he said some were "Sandy" related, so maybe it was an anomaly.

Just some things I observed through our experience.

Good luck!

Sell in the spring and buy in the winter.

We bought the MH a few months ago and have been trying to sell the 5er. Had quite a few calls but only one actual looker. I hope I will have better luck this spring!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Selling is hard in the winter, buying is cheaper. Buying in the winter is cheaper, selling is harder.

Like all things for sale its all how you market and that your price is competetive. I think people are always looking and the time of year is almost secondary.
