Best Way to Sell

I've enjoyed this forum for several years and have found you all to be the smartest, most experienced and best fount of advice on the internet. The DW and I aren't using our 07 UFO much any more and want to get it sold. What's the best way to sell a seven year old low miles RV?

Since it cost nothing, I'd start with the Irv2 classifieds. If you look at almost any online listing services, such as RVT.com, you'll get lots of calls from THEIR competitors trying to get you to also list with them.

Consignment yards like PPL in Houston are an almost hassle free way of selling, but they will take at least a 10% commission, and you have to get it there. There are other consignment specialist in other parts of the country. Where are you?

One word of caution on Craig's List, you will probably get a lot of prank or obscene emails and if you list your phone, calls. You might want to consider starting a throw away email address for the listing. In this way when you finish, just stop using the throw away email address.

Excellent advice. I did that and was glad I did.

Information above is excellent, the scam artists are out there and will come calling.
Beyond that when selling you need to be realistic.
Pricing the coach correctly is important.
To the buyer that knows RV's, low mileage means nothing except things have not been used and exercised.
Look for and correct any leaks.
Ensure that the coach is clean and standing tall !
Provide all service and Maintenance data
Tire age will be important
Battery age as well
Take lots of pictures for those that will email you and ask for them. Both inside and out !
Be prepared for calls from Brokers that will guarentee thay can sell it for you (or try to buy it from you for a basement price.)
Good Luck

Excellent additional advice. If a seller isn't willing to deal with all that, the consignment yards are an alternative. BUT, the more valuable the coach is, the more you will pay for their service because they usually take a % rather than a flat fee.
