Big foot levelers warranty

Well i bought with my RV also a Bigfoot automatic leveling system class C
We have nothing but trouble with it .
I could not move one jack at the time it always 2 in front or rear
Also i could not wake the system up , when i program a let say zero point .
After i do the zero point programming i i shut the system down it would not start.
It only starts when i pull the plug of the sensor ,and start all over again
So i called service department and they said , odd never seen this we think you have gotten the wrong sensor it looks that you have a sensor for a 5th wheel
They said (this is RICk) we sent you a new one , give us your credit card for the shipment cost.
Well i do not have a credit card that what i told them , and could be not that much sending that tiny thing few bucks i think
Well FORGET IT THEY CHARGE ME $244.43
I found that insane new system , and it looks although they want to ripp of costumers.
They must being in financial problems to , to such a thing
system is brand new!

Well they have all the power , you system would not work as it should do if you just do not pay them.

No i can imagine that there is so much violence in USA , if they want to ripp us costumers like that

Cees,

We need to replace your sensor. It is the only item which could cause this problem. Call us with a credit card for the shipping and we will process the shipment.

Thank you,

Trying to understand. You're in the Netherlands & bought an RV from the US which now needs a part to fix. You're upset at the cost to ship the part to you & that they've requested a credit card before they ship. In the US we also have to pay when we have parts sent to us. Granted, the cost is less, but so is the distance of shipping.

Wrong
The parts is to be shipped to Florida
And its weighs less the 0.5 pounds, and usps charge $5,50 for it
And to Netherlands about $10

The part is like a print module that very light (a mini pcb board)

I've dealt with them for years and have found them to have exceptional customer support .... I know Rick, have dealt with him often and can recommend him highly as being very knowledgeable about their systems .... he's also a man of his word .... I'd suggest you call him back and make sure something hasn't been lost in translation and to make sure you both communicate clearly

Well i do not have a problem with rick i talked to him several times to solve my issue
regarding this not function of the system.
He said that i had the wrong sensor , and that they would sent the good type.
But never talked about having me to pay so much for it .
I think come from a higher level, so they think we can charge him for it.
Thats make me mad

Did you have the system installed? Sometimes a warranty is not transferable between owners or outside the USA. Don't know if any of this is the case.

Thanks for clarifying that the charge is not just for shipping, but (reading between the lines) the cost of the board & shipping.

Understand that you're upset, but just trying to grasp what is going on.

I tend to believe the charge is more of a security deposit to ensure the defective part is returned to them .... when they get the part back, the charge is refunded .... its just good business to not send out expensive replacement parts for which a return of the bad part is required .... promises over the phone to return a part are just promises .... I still suggest you call Rick again to make sure you understand what is going on

I found that even worse
Since they sent out the wrong item in the beginning (it bought it from them direct.
And should be good in the first place , they make a mistake not me
And you also could turn it the other way around
First make sure you get the right item then pay, for the same reasons

let say the sent the wrong item again should i pay again for the whole thing
And they never said they would return any money
NO
They want money in advance , i must pay for there mistake thats it.

If i run my shop like that i would be gone in a month time i guess
I service my client , where ever they are
And in a case i make a mistake i make sure the client do not have to pay for it.
Well meaby thats why we have such a good compagny anyway

cees: Most posts here concerning Bigfoot (Quadra Mfg) have been positive. It is a reputable company. I'm sure you know we can appreciate your difficulty but we cannot resolve your problem. Keep in contact with Bigfoot until it is handled to your satisfaction.

Your negative comments concerning our country do nothing to further your cause.

That why i bought bigfoot that i heard only good things
Only this really makes me mad , and i only want to solve the problem.
And not make it worser then it already is.
To get a wrong item is already in the first place not my fault
But to have my pay for it , makes it even worse the it already is.
I already got frustrated that it not worked., and played around for a week .
Because i tough i did something wrong.
