Black Streaks again

Anyone that has or had black streaks on Fiberglass, Have any of you installed gutters? I have seen them advertised and I am leaning towards installing them on my PA. It looks pretty simply using 2 faced tape? Have they remained stuck to the MH?
I try to dry off the rig after a rain, but in this case its the melt freeze cycling this time of year that is causing the Black streaks. I also turned her around in the driveway so the roof drains better.
Thanks for any advice,
tb

The gutters do help direct the water to one end except during an absolute flood which can overcome them. Still I think they are worth the effort.

I have had them on the last three MH. As well as applying a coat of good wax to the roof once a year.

I have a metal roof, I don't think you can wax it can you?
I was out yesterday (sunny and 50 ) and just finger to tongue to black streak they came right off. It must be the Rejex I used last year???
I am going to purchase the gutter system better something than nothing. I like driving a clean, streak free, shinny Motor home down the Hwy.

I have found the "Awesome" cleaner from Dollar General works better than a lot of the expensive black streak removers. JMHO!

Before you buy, check out: Drip Rail - Drip Rail - Trim-Lok
and Drip Rail Molding: Brandsport.com for pricing options. One of those websites sells by the foot, the other by the roll, can't remember which.

As to removing black streaks, IMO you can't beat Crown black streak remover and boat hull cleaner.

Spritz, if your metal roof is painted then yes it can be waxed. Use a good wax that provides ultra violet ray protection and it will help greattly in reducing black streaks.

Nope it isn't painted, I have read on these forums of washing the roof. I am going to give that a shot a few times before the gutter purchase. Yes we will be very careful up there.
Thanks,tb

spritz, buy a box of Spic N Span to wash the roof. It is approved by Dicor, maker of rubber roofs. Use a soft bristle brush and a long handle, like scrubbing a floor. Rinse the sides before runoff dries to prevent streaking.

If you don't scrub the roof, the black or whatever streaks will continue. PITA to clean the roof once every three months, but that's what I've found helps avoid cleaning the streaks, because they don't reappear so quick. I also have gutter extensions which help.

If the roof is washed, every spring, the mold is gone and very little to no black streaks. You like a clean MH? Clean the roof.

I will get the hose out and give a shot. Would adding a little Bleach help out for killing the Black mold?
Thanks,tb
