Blizzard in the Midwest.

Right now there is a substantial blizzard in the Midwest. The worst right now is Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska, with parts of Iowa also affected. The winds are blowing strongly and drifting snow in sheltered areas. It is pretty bad.

We just returned from a Doctor's appointment in Southern Minnesota and it is near total white out. Anyone north of Minneapolis or that latitude in Wisconsin should think twice before starting south.

It will probably be over tonight, but the accumulated snow fall will take some time to address.

I35, I90, I94, and probably I80 are all affected.

I posted this and it disappeared immediately. Did I break a rule? Wrong Forum, I couldn't find one that related to the problem.

they've just announced road closings all over southern Minnesota. Serious weather.

Not weird at all. It's because of global warming, er, climate change, er, (fill in the blank).

Better them than here in Oklahoma......been enjoying 60's for a few days and as much as the rest of January. Works for me!!!!
I wonder, however if that is part of the system that closed down Miami (pronounced Miamuh), Oklahoma and it's surrounding areas Friday before this past? They got about 6-8 inches between the 12th and 13th.

Ended up pretty bad. Hope no snowbirds were traveling south into it. We got 12 inches of wet snow. Cars and trucks in the ditch all over the place. My neighbor spun out his van trying to get into his drive and had to abandon it and the two of them had to wade a half mile through the woods to the house. Got the van out this morning.

Supposed to be 45 by Friday.
