Blocking sun on F350 side windows?

Got a sun shade at Walmart for the front windows. Use the sun visors to keep it up.

What is good for the side windows? Seems like it would be hard to keep shade / reflector up near the window. What do you use?

Never bothered... let me know if you end up with a good solution. Our current truck has a black interior. I will have to look and put some wood in the boiler for the thinking cap.

Back when I had my F-350 crew cab, I had the side windows tinted by a professional tinting shop... You would be surprised on how much it cut down the heat inside the cab...

You don't even have to have the total limo blackout to achieve the heat reduction. Here in NC, window tinting can only be so dark, and it's checked at the annual safety inspection.

Anyway, this is what worked for me.

Get some of that plastic like sunshade material that looks like window screen wire replacement (actually Wall World sells some in a roll), measure to fit your side windows, put grommets in four corner, and and find some suction cups that will fit into the grommets. Made two for the side windows on my F250 Ford Super Duty. Windows are so big you can't find some commercially made for that size window. Grommet kit can be purchase from Harbor Freight and works rather well.

Duane
We have the windows tinted in all our vehicles, makes a huge difference. We always tell the shop we want them "dark as legal."

Check with tint shop that uses ceramic tint. What a difference.

When we had our F450 I had limo tint put on the back window, and rear door windows, and the legal tint put on the driver's and passenger's windows. Those windows didn't look tinted afterwards, but the tint blocked the UV enough that it was comfortable.
