Blue Beacon

Stopped at Blue Beacon in Baytown Texas Saturday morning with my 2006 Revolution LE.
$35 wash, $12 rain x, $4 wheel clean, $5 undercarriage wash $56 total
WOW really clean, shinny wheels, rain x on entire coach
They were friendly and professional 6 guys 20 minutes washing
Wish there was a Blue Beacon in my town.

I'm always worried about high pressures washers breaking seals and forcing water in where it doesn't belong.

We have ours washed at the SanAntonio/Dade City location in FL. They do an excellent job.

I found no issues at all. They were quite careful as they washed, never held the end of the wand up too close to the coach. They had soft bristled brushes they used as well. As I said, I was impressed. Not to say all Blue Beacons are managed as well as this one.

That's good to hear then. Nothing replaces a good hand scrubbing.

I always ask them to back off a little more than usual with the pressure wands. I also ask them not to use Aluminum Brightener or any type of acid in the soap.

We live just east of Los Angeles and everyone knows there's a drought here in Cali. We use the Beacon on Alameda in LA, about ten miles from home. We always go early Sunday mornings, never had wait for a bay. To protect the fridge controls I remove the vent cover put a piece of plastic over the locking twist pins. Works great, yes the fridge is off. My coach is black so they need to be careful. They do a decent job only wish they dried the coach as well. Oh well.

Before they start I always point out the vents and other places I do NOT want high pressure water pointed directly at. That works out well.

Have NEVER washed my own rv's in 30+ years...

we have their app on our phone so we can locate one close to our destination to allow the bugs to come off before we stop !

I let them do it and they've done SO many, they really do know what to look for.

Heck, they are doing large trucks and you KNOW those teamsters have a well deserved reputation about messing with THEIR trucks
