Blue DEF find

Was going down the isle at Sams Club looking for the water softener salt and stumbled upon Peak Blue DEF 2.5 gal container for $9.45 each. Best price I have ever seen and no it wasn't a sale price.
Just thought I'd pass it along.

It's also at most Wal Marts for about the same price. I've been buying it there for the last year, ever since I read about them having it on this board.

Good price at sams. I usually buy at Wal-Mart. Their house branded. Last time was $7.88 iirc. Often out of stock however. I check stock status of nearby stores online and if available order it for store pickup.

Wally World now carries their own brand, that has identical ingredients, it's the cheapest around.

I find it much easier to just use the bulk DEF available at the pump in most truck stops. Usually in the range of $2.75 plus or minus a quarter. Buy just enough to fill-up without having to go to a separate store and wag the 2.5gal containers around. I try to top off at a truckstop near home so I am storing the coach with a full fuel tank and a full DEF tank to minimize condensation in both tanks as well as always ready to roll. Most trips I don't even need to worry about DEF refills on the road. Another plus is since most truckstops have a high volume of product turn-over, you don't have to worry about out dated DEF.

Been buying mine at Sams for a couple years, usually the best price on 2.5 gallon jugs. I buy most of mine at the truck stop, but always carry a jug or two in the basement just in case it is needed.

DEF can definitely go bad and bad (weak or watered down) can leave you stranded with a hefty repair bill to drain/clean the DEF tank and system. The container should have a use by date printed somewhere on it. Don't buy it if you cannot find the date or if the seal is broken.

I also buy mine at Walmart for $7.88 per 2.5 gal jug. I think it's a little bit cheaper to fill at the diesel pumps, but my DEF fill is on the right side of the coach and all of the DEF pumps are on the left.

We usually fill the def at the pump when fueling, but we always carry a spare jug from Walmart for those just in case times. Every few months we pour the jug into the tank and then refill it at the pump. That way we always have fresh def in our just in case jug!

Many DEF pumps have a magnetic activated nozzle and will not dispense into a plastic container unless you have a magnetic nozzle or sleeve.
