Insurance has become a commodity. I have had Progressive for several years as their rate was good. I started shopping around last year and went to GEICO, Blue Sky, State Farm, etc. Blue Sky went through the Q&A process and provided a quote that was about 35% less than Progressive. Then I realized Blue Sky quote was based on market value. I called Progressive back and guess what...they were still using the original market value from when the RV was originally insured 8 years ago! When I had them requote based on the current market value, it was less than the Blue Sky quote.

Just like with anything else, you have to look out for yourself.

That's good news Rjcopters! I knew they, Blue Sky had changed their under writers and felt that may have been the contributing factor for the increase in RV insurance? That is the topic of this thread. Correct OP?
