That's roughly a Motorhome quote for 1 year. How many years worth is that for the TT?

So is it that the "finance guy" is only there the 3rd Wed of the month when there is a full moon. and only for 2 hours. I think the dealer is trying to wear you down.
Like I said in a earlier post. Call dealers with-in a 4 hour drive to ask what they will offer for you to drive / buy from them. I assume you know what you want and options. That should be the hardest part....especially if a DW is involved...
I did that for my 1st and 3rd RV (Drive 1-1/2 to 2 hours) to save $$$ ($1500 on a pop-up and $6,000 on a Aerolite tt)

Well, here's the latest. They called me yesterday and today. Last I spoke was they needed the extra down and I held my ground and didn't call them for a week. They called Saturday and still wanted more, I said no. They called today and said the bank still wants the extra cash, BUT we will turn around and give you the exact amount in the form of a visa gift card (I thought it was fishy at first).
So I'll get back to them tomorrow with my answer of yes. Any thoughts on that kind of transaction? Did they just not want to eat of the contract? Also am I being greedy if I ask for an Electric brake and install for my "troubles"? Or at least a discount.
Thanks all for being a pet of this

Yeah, you would be greedy. The dealer figured out a way to sell the unit on your terms. He accepted, in a way, by giving you a gift card, your offer.
Asking for even more, on your part, at this point, would be a breach exactly like the bank tried with you.
You did good. Leave it at that.

^^^ X 2. Looks like it yours for the taking. Use the card for controller etc. Get hooked up right the first time. Might not be a second time.

As a former car dealer I say that it was all on the bank wanting a better position and not the dealer trying to scam you. Ask the dealer to throw in what you want or at least to give it to you for cost for all the trouble. By the way, an agreement to purchase a vehicle isn't valid unless the unit is driven off the lot and financing is secured.

Yea I figured it would be greedy, but I mean after poor communication and customer service. At least at a percentage discount

If the customer service and communication is so bad why would you want to do business with them. It does not indicate a positive future relationship should you have any other issues with the new rig.

Good point, but it's a chain and there are about 5 lots in SoCal

I'm sorry to say but after following this post if I were the dealer I'm not sure I would want you as a customer. To much back & forth over a rather small amount of money.

Thats rather harsh, isn't it? Dealers get this ALL the time, they are in business.
My Ex got banned from a dealership once after screaming at the dealer about $250 in options. They wouldn't sell us ANYTHING after that. Note I said Ex.
