We have RVed with our Airdale Terrier since she was a pup. Now 12. She has always loved to travel. I personally think Airdales are one of the best dogs to travel with. They have few health problems, do not shed, are big enough to guard, but usually not mean enough to cause problems. Our dog is AKC regulation size for a female. 60 lbs. Some people breed these dogs way bigger than the breed is supposed to be. I think 60-70 lbs is fine to RV with. 110 is too big.

We travel with 2 Jack Russels, 1 male 1 female. They love to travel but are not big on sharing us with others.

To follow up on my earlier post (which has the current signature) our Chocolate Lab, Cocoa passed away earlier this month. She had reached a stage of muscular degeneration in her legs that she coud barely stand for more than a few seconds, couldn't go for a walk and couldn't get up the steps to the RV.

We still have Bailey, our rescue yellow Lab male. He just turned 8, thinks he's two! We just took our first trip without Cocoa (whom our grandson called "own og". He called Bailey "ellow og") and though we missed her companionship, the trip made us realise just how difficult it was for her to be an RVer.

Bailey is adapting to being the only dog quite well and really enjoyed our 6-day trip around Eastern Washington.

We travel with 2 Toy Fox Terriers, 5 and 7 lbs, but hyper as h--- ! The main complaint we have with them is the "yap-yap" at every passing dog. After we are settled in they do get better, but wish they were a little more laid back. Our mix-breed we had before was the smartest and most well behaved dog ever, and she was the love of my life for 15 years.

We have our Westie, Mollymolly, and our Yorkie/Westie mix, Sadie. Both love camping but Sadie does Not like to ride in the truck, she always tries to get in the fifth wheel to travel. She loves the trailer, but I said if she ever happened to ride in it she would never like it again! We took the trailer in for warranty work and it has been gone for 2 weeks. Both dogs can see out the window that it is gone, yet they escape the open gate whenever possible and run out to where the fifth wheel is supposed to be, and sniff all around like they are going to track it down. Silly girls!
