Great Choice!!

We have a female cocker who loves to travel, doesn't bark (much) and won't leave our side. She doesen't know she's a dog, thinks she's an only child. good luck with your Cocker.

We travel with our 9 1/2 year old Golden Retriever. He has been with us in the rig since 8 weeks old. Our previous RV dog was also a Golden. When the time comes to get another dog I would TRY to get a dog that weighs around 25 pounds. Our son has a miniature golden that would be a perfect size.

Every RV park we have been to says no to German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans and Pit Bulls. Was surprised to see in the postings that some people do travel with these dogs.

I once read a quote when I dated a woman that breed Doberman's, something along the lines that a doberman is no more likely to bite you than a poodle is, but you will remember a doberman's bite longer if they both chose to bite.

I can't believe this thread is still going , but it is interesting to keep up with.
We check every few days to see whats who's new . There are some really pretty pets !!
"Ben " is doing great with the training , he walks on the leash perfectly , gets in his crate when it's time for bed (he's still chewing on things though) , hardly ever barks,
lets us know when he needs to potty , he's just about too perfect , except he gets
car-sick if he eats before we go somewhere . He has not grown anymore so we think
he is going to stay small (22 lbs.)
We just wait until we get back to feed him .
We are very excited that it is cool enough to go camping again ! dance !
