The argument here is, marketing. What do the vast majority of folks in the RV world want and desire? The facts and modern production results certainly are NOT without a degree of professionalism as the recession past and those that survived evolved. If they did not follow consumers wants and needs they dissolved. Nuf said!

Also we should go back to rotary phones and tube type TV's. As everything advances there are some that just don't like the new stuff. Very common, but that's the way it goes. My wife bought a flip simple phone because she thought it would be less complicated. She hate's her new phone. Now she has a iPhone.
Being a bit harsh supporting your opinion, aren't you? Although slide coaches are more popular and non slide coaches won't command big process at resale, there are plenty that want non slide coaches. I went from a 2008 quad slide 42-foot Beaver to a 99 non slide 45-foot Prevost conversion.

FWIW, my opinion in that an ideal coach is a single slide in the living area.

99 Country Coach
Prevost XL 45 Conversion

A good way to avoid the potential problems with slides while having the extra room is (wait for it)... buy a unit with well-designed slides. Many models are quite livable with the slides in if necessary, and if implemented correctly slides don't leak and are essentially trouble-free (although admittedly these units cost more.)

Anyone can examine the unit with the slides in and see if everything works and is accessible, so there isn't much excuse to complain about models that don't function well if the slides aren't deployed. Just don't buy those.

I do get the 'no slides' thing, but it's not that hard to avoid the pitfalls while enjoying the advantages.
