Sorry to hear of your trouble with the oven. You may want to have the gas pressure checked first to be sure it is correct. If so the one thing that you can do to reduce the popping when turning off a burner is to reduce the flame to a very small one first, then off. Are you litting a stove top burner first before litting the oven up? If not try this first. When you do not use the rig for awhile the gas lines will leak down and fill with air. You will neeed to purge this air out of the line to get the gas fuel to the burner. Once there it should lite. Hopefully you will find that the gas pressure regulator needs a little adjusting and then following the suggestions will make it better. Good luck and let us know the outcome.
