BURR Handy-Lift

We just installed a BURR Handy-Lift on our Class A. It is wonderful. The people at BURR Actuators gave us a great deal and terrific service. The people at Coast Repair and Maintenance in Seaside, Oregon did an amazing job of installing it at a great price. If you have any welding or heavy work to do near Seaside, Oregon, see CRM. They are amazing!!!

It is perfect if you can stand but can't do steps.

Here is one picture. There is a whole album of the installed lift at

The floor rotates 90 degrees and flips up. There are pictures on the website of it stored. It sticks out about 8", but less than our bus mirrors.

I'm the DW & user of the lift. It changed my world

We have 7 steps to get into our bus type motorhome & I have 2 knees that are waiting for replacement early 2012. The lift takes me from ground to floor level without a single step. Looking in the future we won't have to stay in hotels after surgery...we have no SB house.

Quality product from BURR, excellant customer service (talk to Donna), and amazing work done by Scotty & Ron at CRM, Seaside, OR. We could not be happier

Cost was approx. $3,000.00. Money well spent

Marilyn

I can't wait. I'm hoping to get them both done at the same time. Pain can't be any worse than it is right now.

I had both mine done at the same time 4 years ago. My DW and I walk 3 miles each morning. Couldn't do that before I had it done.

Can you tell me what the distance to your floor from the ground is? Is that a 50 inch lift or the standard 40 inch? I'm considering one for my coach and am looking at how yours mounts and folds up, etc. to see if it would work for me.

Thanks,

Our HM is 50 inches from ground to floor. The step cover comes out and the lift comes up level with it. It works well, but sometimes we get cold while going up or down since it takes 90 seconds to two minutes.

A BIG WARNING. To make it fit our Class A, the 3rd pary installer had to make modifications. The platform had a bracket that stuck out too far and would hit the open door. They did a lot of work to make it work, and they did a great job. But we were notified by BURR that the modification voided the warranty and they would not cover it any more. Until that moment Burr provided great service.
