Calculating Indiana excise tax

Hello everyone. We're about to make our first RV purchase (a used class A). We live in Indiana and I'm trying to determine what to expect for excise taxes. It appears that Indiana moved from a property tax approach to an excise tax approach a few years ago. Looks lime it's based on the original price of the vehicle, but what about in the case of buying a used one?

BMV: Excise Tax Information excise tax chart

they still base it on the price of the new one- it just goes down every year - see the chart. you will also pay sales tax on the used unit. you can go to the BMV website and try to figure it out - I found it easier to just stop by our local branch and ask.
