For all the ones who are traveling alone and Like it!! why? don't like it why? Is traveling on your own what you expected? I want to go fulltime but have to wait a few years but I still get out to campouts by myself and with single sams club I love it ! How about you? Donna

All my life I have loved to travel. Alone or with friends and family. I can not imagine not being able to go somewhere. I must have been a Gyspy in another life.
My husband and I now travel, but if something were to happen I hope we both could continue to travel without the other one and enjoy our common love.
Life it too short. Live alittle.

Donna -
I suspect this is a question all of us ladies have to answer at one time or another. I've often wondered if I would continue getting out in the RV if something should happen to my DH and the answer is a resounding YES!
However I figure my entire lifestyle would change. We now have a 36 ft 5th wheel pulled by a Dodge Ram 3500. I am not - nor ever will be - comfortable pulling a rig behind me by myself. I enjoy our rides, but DH is driving and I'm scared enough with idiots pulling out in front of us or passing us ...etc.
Just because we longer have a spouse/mate/companion to share our joy doesn't mean that we have to give up what we love to do.
I would sell the 5ver and purchase something like a Minnie Winnie that I would feel more comfortable in driving on the road.
As Kristi (Ruppr2) says ...I love to travel and travel I must! There are too many RV's out there to fit anyone's style, taste and finances to keep us doing what we love to do.
On the other side of the coin, I truly would hope that if something should ever happen to me that my DH would continue to get in the rig and enjoy what he loves to do!
Sandy

I absolutely will be traveling and camping without my spouse. I know that I can pull and set up a pop-up alone - although if it's just me, I can see a small, small, small travel trailer (Casita, etc) in my future if necessary.

I travel some alone without my DH now. Because of his job, he isn't always able to go to the all of the motorhome chapter functions that I can. So, I pack up the motorhome, throw in the dog and take off. He gets a little jealous, but secretly I believe he is happy that I feel comfortable enough with the motorhome to go.

I hope DH and I will be rving for a long time but if something were to happen, I probably would continue however in something smaller. However, I am not much of a loaner so I would probably go with a group or find a camping companion.

Not sure if this counts as alone, but when my hubby gets deployed at the end of this year I will continue to go camping with the kids. Of course, I have a ds15 to help with setup and backing up. dd10 and ds6 are also great helpers. dd5 and dd3 just sort of tag along.

i think that if i wasn't so afraid of the torque our truck has that i would definitely be pulling the TT...i know how to drive stick, but it jackrabbits out of first and scares the beejeezies out of me...
however, i've driven all size moving trucks (except for rigs) so the size of the unit itself doesn't scare me. i think if something happened to my husband, you'd probably find me living in it and towing it around this beautiful country. (i too was a gyspy in another life, so AG, i'm right there with ya!)
