I agree, but I don't think she does. Except, I won't need a sofa. I would need a place to hide. Chuck

Chuck, All of us, at least some of the time, are as careful and deliberate as you, but, that's why its called an 'accident'.

I thought married campers in MH's carried an emergency tent and sleeping bag? Now I understand what it's for

Because the edge of the corner becomes the edge of the boulder.

We're just the opposite. When we arrive at a park, & if I'm not driving, DH gets out & I take over the driver's position & he's my spotter. I have to admit, he's a much better guider/spotter than I am. We get into a back in spot WAY quicker if I'm driving & he's guiding.

Learning how to back in at Prophetstown, with those big site number boulders on the corner, taught me a lot.

I too think it is a bad idea to line the roads and festoon the corners in an RV park with Boulders! Are they in the landscape business or the RV park business!

No, I haven't hit any yet.

It usually has nothing to do with landscaping. I worked at a very large campground in Washington state a couple of years. We used boulders to protect hose bibs, electric boxes and sewer fittings. We also used them on corners to keep traffic off the water lines, water valves, electric lines and sewer pump tanks located all over the CG.

I'm sure everybody on here is a very good driver. A lot of folks aren't.

Had one get me someplace on our west trip this year. Only got one storage door thankfully and the angle on it at that.
Some of these parks are a PITA at 45 ft and 13 tall. Plus some parks I have been on grass just because of turning radius! Not to mention having to try and avoid bottoming sometimes due to road and elevation change.

Hmm .... try it in a forest park in the dark with a 45 ft. bus.

Seems to me that's just asking for trouble. Like some neighborhoods in some cities, there's just some places you shouldn't go in a 45' motorhome after dark.

Hey, I was honest. I screwed up. I failed to have DW get out and double check me. A failure of procedure. Lesson learned. Lesson shared. I suppose the Time I hit a car at a rail crossing with a locomotive I shouldn’t have been driving anything that big. Oh, I had the ROW!

SWMBO tried to move one at the Blue Beacon with her Prius. Does anybody know where I can get a Burgandy rear bumper cover for a Prius C?
