We like our membership. It usually saves us between 100-150 dollars a year. Usually you make up the membership fees in savings the first time you use it.
We ended up using ours 6 times this year.

Best club deal out there in my opinion, even with the restrictions. You'll make up the price in just a few stays. We use them mostly for short-term stays on the road.

fifty percent beats 10 percent every day. We use ours enough to more than make up the cost.

We have been members of Passport America and CampClubUSA for a long time. Now they are merging as one. We have always used these memberships whenever possible and they have always more than paid for themselves in the savings on CG fees. There are restrictions on many of the CGs but even so, these memberships save us money.

We belong to PA. We never pick a campground because they offer a discount, we pick for convenience. Yet every year we get to enough places that offer the PA price when we check in that we get back 5 or 6 times what we pay for a membership. Also, no junk mail, no hassle.

I love PA. I have stayed in CG's for as low as 12.00 a night. Worth the $44.00.

Passport America does not require you to have a home park and pay a bunch of money like the kind you are thinking about.

PA has a bunch of affiliated RV parks all over the country and you pay half price when you stay in one. There are some restrictions at most of the parks such as:
Length of stay - sometimes only one night allowed.
Often holidays and sometimes weekends are blacked out.
Sometimes the park will only take cash or check - no credit cards.

We have been members for 7 or 8 years and so far we have always recouped our $44 and then started saving money.

We use Passport America a lot when we travel. We find a park in the Passport America book then look to see if it is listed in Woodalls or Trailer Life directory. Some of the Passport America parks are not really all that nice but if they are listed in the other directories or RV park reviews you kind of get a better feel for the park. Many also seem to be a bit off the beaten track. Most often we are just overnighting so Passport America fits the bill very nicely for us.
Safe Travels

Stay in one of their CGs a few times a year and it will pay for itself.

We LOVE PPA. Yearly cost is $ 44 and on an average stay of around $ 15.00 per night, you can't beat it!
