Camping season.

I can smell it in the air. Camp is open, snow is off the ground. Let the Dewinterizing, Pump and Water Heater questions begin!

All the 'problems' but simply related to dead batteries or those needing to be replaced.

We just left the house in FL for a road trip. First stop was Big Oaks RV park in Tallahassee FL and we're now at Uchee Creek famcamp in Alabama.
Uchee Creek famcamp is part of Fort Benning Army base. Beautiful campground.
Next stop is Nashville TN for five days and then onto......Click image for larger version

We just made a cross country trip:

Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee- picked up the Natchez trace, Alabama, Mississippi, then headed nw to Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona- Grand Canyon, into Utah- OMG is Utah cool for rv travelers. Back towards home through Colorado (overpopulation), Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and back home. Every state had some rough roads and I thought we made the trip without a single rv related issue. lol. Somewhere we lost a hood clip. We drove past a bunch of campgrounds preferring to dry camp. Total spent on camping was $58. Didn’t add up the fuel cost and don’t wanna know... guessing 5 mpg ish. The biggest surprise was all of the foreigners in rental units. Click image for larger version

Just came back yesterday from our first trip of the year. We stayed in the local area at two different COE CG's on Lake Norfork, Robinson Point and Bidwell.

Unseasonably cool weather and rain meant that neither was anywhere even close to being crowded, Nice close to home getaway.

Note- Norfork lake is very high and rising, Several camp sites in CG's near the lake are flooding which is really cutting down on sites.

Just curious - do the rental companies put a special placard on the unit that lets you know when a citizen has rented it versus a foreigner bringing their money to spend in our country? I couldn't tell from the picture.

No. lol. We actually got out to the National parks... walked amongst the many people entering and exiting the rentals. The rental to privately owned was easily 10:1. Mostly European and Australian. Super nice with children in tow. We keep painted rocks as gifts to pass and hide with the children. Every National Park that we visited in Arizona and Utah was overflowing with rentals. We also visited at the dump stations. The foreigners were very friendly and welcoming in that situation compared to some places I have been to closer to home.

We left for our first trip in late April with most snow gone. Got back home May 7 with all snow gone. The problem is that I have to pull through part of the yard to get to the RV pad and, in 4WD, got stuck. The good news is that after 2 dry days, I was able to move the fiver to firmer ground and unhitch, while waiting for more drying before moving to the pad.
