I take it you didn't read down the list of replies, #6 for instance.

Not as long as greed is the primary motive...

CW is the WM of the camping world, maximize profits at any cost. Some stores are good, some flat out suck. Ditto with their service, and sales. You may find a store with a decent retail section but the service department is poor, or polar opposite. As a general rule I can walk in and get a vibe right away as to how well it is going to work. Where I live they are the only game in town for over 100 miles in every direction. Amazon is where I buy a lot of my RV stuff.

I don't know how to compare CW to WM. Maybe the retail store, but I would give the better grade to Wal-Mart. We're not spending hundreds of thousands of dollars at Wal-Mart, so I would not see the comparison there. I have spent more at CW than I have at WM, so common sense would make one think you would have proportionately better customer service. I have not experienced anything close from CW.

The wife and I are/were in the market for a Travel trailer. We live in Oregon and looked at several trailers. Went to several RV shows. We decided to go to CW in Coburg. Was met with a salesman before we went out the door to look at trailers. Was told we couldn't look at any trailers with out a salesman. Then the pressure began. When the salesman realised he wasn't making any head way, he left and another salesman showed up. I asked what happened to the other guy. I was told he had an appointment. As we were looking at other trailers, our first salesman came out of a trailer he was showing another person.....maybe that was his appointment... maybe not. He should have been honest with us about him having an appointment. The sales pressure continued and I had enough and told them NO. So, we left. High pressure and not good quality units. We went to Apache Camping Center and purchased a Artic Fox. No pressure and a friendly staff. Camping World is terrible! At least in Oregon!

After the hundreds, if not thousands of negative articles on the net on numerous RV sites, doing any business with CW would be a crap shoot.

They r suspect at best it seems. I buy most of my Rv stuff from Amazon. So much easier and much better prices. I cannot recall reading about a good sales experience there
