The bracket was not ordered with the cylinder but the bracket is not needed with every cylinder so the Corporate person didn't know that a bracket was needed when he made the appt. He said that we would receive a $25.00 certificate from Corporate for our trouble. Camping World Byron completed the installation of the stablizer so we will see if it helps with the swaying and blowing in the wind. We didn't have a good experience when we were paying for the stablizer because the price quoted wasn't the price charged. There was an additional $50.00 for "supplies used for installation". We were told that their system calculates a supply fee based on the amount of the product purchase. We did complain and the supply charge was removed. Lessons learned for us...always verify and re-verify every time we talk to anyone to make sure they are calling from the store we are working with. Call the day before the appt. to make sure all parts are in and confirm the appt. again. Also ask when a price is quoted if that is the total price.
We would like to thank everyone again for their suggestions and advice.
I used to work for Camping World, just call the Corporate number in the store. That will get the Store Manager moving. I've seen that store rip so many people off with their substandard installations and supply charge.

I had several things replaced bu CW and for the most part it was done correctly. I have had issues a few times over what was included in the install. They didn't seem to know till we ad received the product. Prices were ok but you had to wait till?? before they woulds be finished. I live in the rv belt in Az. I found a local Ma and Pa store that does all kinds of repairs an sales and works on the parts i wanted to install myself. They helped me and when they did have issues they would come up to where we were parked to repair whatever it was and not charged us for that service call. I did have a few issues but they were addressed and we always come out ahead. I can get Anything i could get at CW for about the same price or lower. And that's without having to pay into there club! Sorry but i like our friends here and if i am on the road, I bet i could get the part pdq without all the hurry up and wait. I got parts in two days a few times and if they had it then they would ship it to me. There not perfect, but i just have had better service from the ma and pa store.

I'm lost. I've gone to look for me. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait.

Good god, y0u must have a lot of stress in your life. I'm not getting on the bandwagon of support for this!

I appreciate these kind of threads and posts. There is CW near me, but i haven't used them for service yet. If I ever do, I will be sure to check everything out, instead of paying the bill, driving off, only to find that the work wasn't done properly. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't know how the service dept is, but the parts department is about the size of a bathroom compared to the one in in the Mesa, AZ CW. If I ever do use them, I will post good or bad here.

The last time I was at CW, we had 4 bilstien shocks installed on a 96 Georgie Boy Pursuit. Easy install with the lift and impact, 3 hours later the Service Manager tells me that the Installer can't install the left front shock. Tells me that there's a tube in the way thats welded on, blocking the upper mount. Tells me to bring it back tomorrow and he needs 2 hours to install the one shock. I ask him to show me and explain what will take 2 hours. After the Installer told me a bunch of bs, I explain to him I was a former installer at cw and demonstrated how to remove the tube in 2 mins. Installer work on a precentage of what they install and percentage on the labor charge. So beware, however there are some great installers there.

I'm truly sorry for your troubles. I've used the CW in Byron and have not had these types of issues. I might suggest Mid-State RV just across I-75. They're a Coachman dealer, but their mechanics have done great work for me. They just installed a Ready-Brute toad braking system on my Honda CRV and did a great job. They had never installed one before and it took them longer than expected, but they stuck to their original quote.

I am done with camp world. They tried to burn me on my freedom roads extended warranty, which is owned by CW. I had to make several calls and spent probably 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to cover my $300 microwave. They finally agreed to replace it after I argued with them. Poor business. I will either order online, buy at walmart or buy at a local mom and pop RV store. I was also considering buying a Itasca Ellipse from them, but the way they tried to burn me out of $300 tells me I don't want to do business with them anymore.
