Camping World Haters
While not an active member of the CW Haters, I do shake my head at CW's treatment of some customers as reported on here. This news item gives more support to the haters.

I don't hate CW but that might be because I have never had them do an install or had service work done at any CW location.

sounds like someone looking for a payoff. Anyone can file a lawsuit. Posting it to the internet is just looking for publicity.

I wonder how they know that he damaged their shipment of vehicles. Something doesn't sound right.

I just don't understand why upper management doesn't lower the boom on service managers and service advisors. They have no quality control to make sure the techs do it right I say start at the top and cut the waste.

I'm not a CW hater, I just choose to do business elsewhere due to their very high, unless on sale, prices. Only used a service department once, and it was great.

Based on the article which, strangley enough in these times was fairly well written in terms of balance,
It is possible RV Sales has a case And Marcus is lying
It is possible that RV sales is lying and Marcus can bring a case against them.
Time, and a court, will decide which it is. But the interesting point to me is that the reporter wrote it up so either conclusion can happen.. Unlike so many who would make it clear that their friend did no wrong (NOTE I'm saying that that way cause I know not which would be their friend) .

I do buy from CW occasionally when items are on sale or when I'm near one of their locations and need something quick. I would NOT use their service department unless it was an emergency situation and there were no other shops available!

We get to CW about once a year for something we need immediately. Otherwise I usually head to amazon for stuff.

I don't "hate" CW. But I did have them work on our '00 Dutch Star and have never let them touch another one of our rigs! I buy stuff there, but only if I can't find it locally.

Again, to beat the same drum, not a CW hater but they just don't usually impress me the few times I've stopped for bits and pieces but have purchased a few things on line that were fine and priced well.
By chance, did anyone read some of the comments accompanying the TMZ article? Many sound like they were written by the TV show staff and watchers and mostly 'glow' with praise of Marcus. The RV company's suit does sound a little hokey though, but no real info was supplied with the blurb

When I looked at the news release and glanced off to the side of the screen and saw all the bikini clad models I thought I had visited a porn site or something.
I would put this in the same league as yesterdays news about sports people taking drugs being reported in Al Jezerra
I don't tune to sites like that for news

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm!!!
I have purchased items at CW, they have a big store inventory and if you want it "now", it's a place to go, although items can be found many times on-line cheaper and with no shipping costs
This past summer I was looking to upgrade our rig to something with opposing slides and perhaps a couple feet longer.
I was doing on-line searches and our local CW store came up with a coach or two for me to look at - as an FYI - these were used coaches.
So off we went to CW to find the coach of our dreams.
We were shown the coaches that were listed on-line for sale.
I was totally shocked at the condition of these coaches, dirty, sloppy, basements full of junk.......
I asked the salesman what the story was - he informed me they just came in. I asked when would they be cleaned up and I "might" take the 2 hour round trip ride to actually look at the coach. He informed me when the coach was sold, it would then be cleaned. I mentioned if they were going to leave it "as-is" before it is sold, they may consider picking up the used razor in the shower........yuk!!! LOL
Hmmmmmmmm.........
I was totally shocked at the condition of the coaches they want to sell, which shows me a lack of professionalism and seems to support what people post about CW.
I was disappointed..........but understand this was my local store; others may have a different experience.
