Interesting. Sounds like a poorly planed op.

Stores closing seems to be the Norm lately, not enough profit then they close the doors
K Mart is an example as are several more big box stores.

It sounds like the Camping World way to me, everything is priced 30-50% higher than the same item can be found on Amazon or other online retailers, and they make it up by offering a 15% off coupon with lots of strings attached.

I read nothing untowards in that article. Large corporations operate that way as usual business practice.

I agree closing stores seems to be the national passtime just now (long list of stores closing) for reasons I'd rather not get into here. (Or anywhere for that matter).

In this case however it makes sense. as the National RV Supply is in direct competition with Camping World..

As for the short notice.. There is a good reason for that too. Could be worse.

I am wearing a WQRS (radio station) Sweatshirt as I type this..
They came in at NOON one day and told 'em they were fired effective 6pm that day.

The Telephone company (A few miles distant) folks showed up for work Monday morning and their key card did not open the door.
There were a bunch of boxes, each with a name on it, in the entrance hall.. THey gave their name to the Security guard, he handed them their box. the "Pink slip" was inside. along with all their personal stuff from their desk/work area.

Amazon and Wal-Mart are battling it out now. Wonder what the outcome will be on this one?
