I just ordered a 30a extention cord and step stool from CW yesterday. First, I tried to leave the site when I saw a $15 shipping charge, but a pop up offered me a $5 discount if I didn't leave which brought shipping down to $10. Then I get a confirmation email that is different than anything I had seen before and it looked similar to scam emails in appearance. I will see what happens, but I do usually by from Amazon and am a Prime member. I probably won't purchase online from CW again.

You only save on tax from Amazon if there is no Amazon shipping office in your state and the item you are purchasing comes from out of state! Unfortunately Kentucky has a shipping office in state, so 6% mandatory sales tax on all Amazon purchases for us here in Kentucky.

Even buying them in bulk from another company on Amazon saving on tax was still more expensive by $10 each after tax savings. The Amazon app is really very handy - so is the HD one.

Read it again, I said Another Company on Amazon When you buy and ship from the other companies on Amazon and that company ships, there is no tax if that company does not charge your state tax.

If you order on most sights, the standard shipping time will usually say six to eight weeks, but it arrives in a few days. At CW, my experience is that if they say a week, count on at least a month or two... If they are going to install something, add at least another few months.... Then consider it normal when those additional costs magically get added to your bill, which may be harder to decipher why than to read the Dead Sea scrolls.....

Actually irregardless of where the sold item originates, since Amazon has a distribution center in Lexington, Kentucky, where all items purchased from out of state go through, Amazon charges 6% sales tax. Wish it weren't so, but it is. It may be different in California.

Your not getting it. If you purchase on Amazon from a different seller who ships it themselves - not through Amazon, they don't charge tax. Taxes are collected by Amazon when Amazon ships the item, this includes Ca. See the pictures for the recent purchase I made - with no tax.

I get what your saying.....but why are you paying shipping?....looks to be eligible for free shipping
I needed it fast to use while the fridge was out. I ran two wires into the wire harness of the new Norcold from top to bottom to add an ARP control and 4 fans in the vent.

If you shop online for your RV, a Google search will almost always include PPL. PPL is an excellent source for RV supplies. They are one of the biggest in the world. Fast, low prices, and very fast cheap shipping. There customer service is also second to none.
And they standup for their products or at least my dealing with them so far has been.

I also use an app on my Phone called RedLazer. It is a bar code scanning app that tells me the local as well as on line price of the item. I then price compare at whatever place I am at and see if they will price match. Almost every time I have gotten the store, Walmart, Academy Sports, CW, PPL, Amazon, ETC., to price match. Of course it takes a phone call to them but they almost always work with you.

I don't use CW any longer. I had a personal issue, wrote Marcus and I'm still waiting for his a$$ to answer (and that's been just over a year now). If that's how you handle email complaints, I'm out. They haven't cornered the market on RV parts.

By the way, you can order the same things from Amazon and pay a lot less.
Well, yes and no. Never assume one site has lower prices than another without verifying. I saw that Amazon had a product I wanted for $140, and the manufacturer was selling for $120, and Camping World was selling for $110, all offering free shipping. Gotta shop around.

They also take forever to get the items to you where Amazon items arrive in a few days. Amazon also let's you know when it has shipped via email. CW has serious problems with its online AND phone ordering. This isn't new either. I quit buying from them 2 years ago.
Now, this part, however, can be a huge game changer for me. What is the sense in savings $10 if I almost never get what I ordered?
