I believe it 100% If you pay cash and it's not on the $4 list, you owe it to yourself to check around. I've been in the business for a long time and I hear and see if happen quite often.

Good for you! A bargain is hard to pass up and it sounds like you got one.

You do have my interest up, though. If you message me your med, strength and number you take a day, I'll look it up at work. I've been doing pharmacy for 35 years and usually I tell people that the best price is at Wal-Mart and to void CVS and Walgreens. Most independents are somewhere in between on the high side.

For the OP, your best bet is to fill them before you leave. Then you don't have to worry about not having them. Enjoy your travels!

Hi CWJK55,

Here in Quebec, you need to go to a clinic and get your US doctors prescription transferred to a Canadian prescription, cost about $50.00 CDN, (about $38.00 USD), if you don't have RAMQ, (Quebec provincial health care card).

However, I have had friends from the US go to the pharmacy with their empty prescription bottles and say that they "forgot" to fill it before leaving the US. The pharmacist gave them a one month supply each time. Not sure if this would work in other provinces.

I hope this helps.
