Canadian pharmacy

My wife and I are on Medicare now and we both need prescription drugs that are very expensive. We have heard about Canadian pharmacies shipping the same drugs to US residents at substantial discounts.
Have any of you used a Canadian pharmacy and if you were happy with the experience, would you recommended them ??
Thank you in advance !!
Greg

Used Canadian pharmacy for about 2 years when I didn't have health insurance. Had great prices for diabetic and high blood pressure drugs. Always received great service. This was about 7 years ago. Meds were shipped usually from either Germany or India. Exact packaging as in US. Never had any problems. https://www.canadapharmacy.com

Canadian drugs are not shipped from Canada. They only use a Canadian address. The drugs are from India, Mexico and other countries. The owner of Canadian Drugs has been in trouble with the law often. Search Google. Quality of the drugs is questionable.

Tom, thank you for the heartbreaking information ! I feel so sorry for the victims of this fraud. No punishment is severe enough for those people !!!! Unbelievable what people will do for money !!

On a recommendation of my doctor, I tried some Cialis from a Canadian pharmacy. It arrived from India. Did not work as the original so never reordered.

Once you order from them, they'll bug you nearly everyday with phone calls and emails. I ordered 100 ED pills from them and a month later they were calling nearly every-other day. My wife laughed, how fast do they think we use 100 pills up?

I tried to explain to the guy that my wife isn't as young as she used to be but I'm not sure he understood english

Greg, my wife and have been getting drugs from Canada for several years, in general at about 30% of what they cost in US when not covered by our Medicare plan.

We use Mark's Marine Pharmacy in Vancouver, Canada. We actually went there and visited with then on a trip to Alaska. They only need your US docter's perscripition and cc info. Google them and type in drug name to get price and phone number. I fax new drug prescription info when needed.

I was getting one drug directly from India and had an order taked by Incoming Customs in Chicago. Marks now ships it to me from Canada, but did pickup my loss from Chicago.

I know people don't trust drugs from out of the country, but most of our drugs come from the same place as those in Canada, they don't make them either.

Good luck
Larry

I also used a Canadian pharmacy and the generic that I ordered was shipped from India. At the time my Rx was $8 each in the US, but only 75 cents each when ordered from Canada. I used Big Mountain pharmacy. My body didn't know the difference.

I later discovered that I could buy most drugs when I visited Mexico without a prescription. Just south of Yuma, AZ is Los Algondones and there are pharmacies across the street from the border crossing. I winter in southern AZ and usually make at least 2 trips south of the border.

I pick up meds for my DD, her dog and my diabetic monkey. A 10 ml vial of brand name Lantus sells for $35. The cheapest I've found it for in the US is $285/vial and it requires a prescription.

You will need a passport to return to the US after visiting Mexico.

Caution !! Although you can purchase drugs in Mexico , certain drugs you won't be able to carry back into the USA. ( narcotics ) and not declaring all your drugs is smuggling .

I have been using Big Mountain Drugs in Canada for five years to save money on certain medications that I can't get through the VA. The website requires a prescription from a doctor to fulfill your order. I can get the prescription from my VA doctor but not the meds from the VA pharmacy.
Rather than pay full price at a US drugstore I have ordered online. I have had no issues at all. The drugs come from India and are generic, but they work. No problems with fraud on my credit card, and no missed orders.

Sorry, I didn't mention that. The Purple Pharmacy told me I can't buy narcotics without a prescription. When I come thru customs they always ask about the reason for my trip to Mexico and I tell them the truth -- to visit my dentist or to buy medication. They never ask to see what is in my Purple shopping bag.

You can not legally buy narcotics in Canada or from a Canadian mail order pharmacy either. But in Mexico you can buy antibiotics, antidepressants, blood pressure, cholesterol and ED meds without a prescription and WAY cheaper than in the US. I truly believe the major reason for the price difference is largely tied to malpractice lawsuits in the US, but not in Mexico.

Not that they are all bad but really it is a roll of the dice. They are cheap for a reason, the oversight on the facility such as sanitary conditions, accuracy of dosage, packaging etc. If they come from Mexico and India you get what you pay for. There were other countries that do this also.

I saw a story on 60 Minutes a few years ago and it was shocking how they operate there. You could be taking pills that are less potent than you really need and who knows what got into the mix when processed.

The Lantus I buy in Mexico for $35/vial is packaged and labeled exactly like what I would have to pay $285/vial in the US. Malpractice lawsuits and advertising costs add a substantial amount to all drugs in the US.
