Can't find breakdown

Searched break down, trip interruption, and breakdown.
Not much.

Want to find ideas about my breakdown.
Have a fifth wheel, which has extended warranty, Chevy 3500HD which has extended coverage, AAA, but nobody has road side service.
Broke down on 95S in South Carolina Easter Sunday.
Called all three, but no help. Found local shop that was great, if allowed I would love to plug them.

Want to know what you have for when you breakdown.

I have Good Sam Roadside Assistance. What type of 'breakdown' did you experience? Tire? Engine? A Holiday Sunday would be a tough day to get assistance.

I have 'tow service' via my Ins. POLICIES....truck and 5th wheel

SO when truck broke down I called my vehicle ins. and they sent tow truck.
5th wheel was already in a CG so just needed truck towed for repair

If I had been towing 5vr at time of breakdown ----2 tow trucks would have been sent

Suspect bad fuel. Stopped at rest area for a nap, started up, ran for about 3 seconds, than cut off. No check engine lights, but motor just spun over like no fuel. Checked filter that still had 65% life left.
Nobody I called would tow me because I had a fifth wheel camper.

Turned out, after 4 days in the shop, the ECM needed to be re-programmed.
For safe measure, also swapped the fuel filter.

Had Good Sam a while ago, turned out bad, no longer have them.

Have to check if my insurance would have helped.

Breakdown

Coach Net. Two times on breakdowns. 1 ECM shorted, 2 High pressure lines blew up. Not on holidays, but both times a tow showed up.

bilb2765, You said, "Want to find ideas about my breakdown.

The issue was with the truck, not the trailer, so the trailer extended warranty wouldn't kick in. The Chevy tow vehicle has extended coverage, but is it ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE? AAA membership includes roadside assistance, I understand their tow trucks unwilling to double tow, but did you offer to pay for a second truck to tow the trailer?

Good Sam and Coachnet both would have covered your truck and 5th wheel. Again, Easter Sunday would be tough, many places closed for the day, but either RV roadside assistance program would have kept calling until they found you help.

I use Coach Net, they have helped me three times. Just remember- You get what you pay for, oh and always read the contract.

The information is out there, all you have to do is let it in.
