I'm looking to purchase a car top carrier. The cargo height must be a minimum of 15 1/2" high. The volume should be a minimum of 16 cubic feet. The carrier should be a rigid (no canvas or fold up) construction. The toad is an 05 GMC ENVOY with a factory installed luggage rack.

I'm searching the Internet and have seen some choices. I'd like to know if anyone has purchased a large car top carrier and what their experiences have been.

many thanks

I've used a Thule box for skiis for a number of years (can't remember the model ). Newer models of both the Yakima and Thule should be able to clamp to your factory rack quite easily.

Try Sears. Good quality & reasonably priced esp. if you catch a sale.
