Cargo sliding trays

I've decided to research putting a cargo sliding tray (36x90) in the pass thru of my 5th wheeler. I Know I'm going to loose some space but I think I can minimize that in the end with some wall bins in the dead space. Innovative Industries, Inc. manufactures custom one from aluminum for $1000. MORryde make a steel one for $600. I have a great welding shop by me that could build the track system and I could make the box. Please give me you best advise.
Thank you in advance,
Kim

Do a google search for "truck bed drawer slides" and you'll find lots of ideas for home built slide systems. One guy used 1" roller bearings and fabricated his own rails. I would think you could save considerably over retail and get a custom sliding tray to meet your specific pass thru storage bay.
