I did not use a torch just a small square and some sheet metal sheers , they glue to themselves not to the subfloor , I did not tackle the drivers area yet , my plan is to remove all carpet , allure the flat floor , save the carpet from the engine hump and use it as a pattern and install new carpet on the hump only

Lastly, What is the best way to spruce up the engine cover? I don't see using Allure on it, but the carpet is a light blue and shows dirt quickly after cleaning.

Anyone got before, during and after pictures?
Note: if its dirty looking awhile after a cleaning then you are using to much soap. Try rinsing it with just plan water a few times. we just did our 32 year old carpet and it looks like new again. Personally I think carpet is the way to go, cuts down on noise and is warmer to the feet. JMO

I installed allure in mine about 5 years ago. Best thing to do with 2 dogs. Staples removing took the most time but was bad.

We are thinking about replacing our carpet, but would not use Allure. We installed it in our L/R in our house and it easily got scrated up with the dog. Not sure what we will use yet. Never thought about replacing carpet on dog house. Great idea.

I am looking to remove the lino also and was looking at the vinyl wood and the ceramica, but am now thinking of the one piece as have read that the strips or tile squares will lift and water can get under them, i do have animals and they can bring in some strange weather some days...
since we will be fulltime does anyone have the sheet? some of the patterns look like tile and H Depot will install I will remove the old myself first but not sure how well I could manage the sheet, mistakes on tile can be more easily fixed and I would attempt it or at least most of it and get a pro to finish the
curvy spots
Do I have a real concern with the tile type as far as lifting??

I have assisted with install of HD Allure in 5 different RV's with good results. Mine is 4 years old now. With only one repair. Because I ran a screw through it. For a handyman it is a easy install and looks great. Here are some pictures of the install.

We installed Laminate from Home Depot in ours a couple years ago and it's held up fine. Here are some pictures.

Well this was quite a job well done! I like the tile you chose and I see you have a 'sweetheart' too,,
I think this is what I prefer as I am trying to play down the 'wood' in the RV,
... some wood works for me but I do prefer less of it... I think I will be painting..
Off to see what is available at Home Depot, a friend said they had a sale on flooring for a few more days...

Thank you both for your thoughts and photos... I can do this!!

Nice job. I see you have the same type of slide we do with the plastic strip. Any problems with scratches on the Allure from the slide? Our slide raises up like it should, but it tends to drag the carpet, so I know it will drag the flooring, too.

Maybe not, thye flooring may be thinner than the carpet and may have no drag at all ... fingers crossed..
