Carriage being auctioned off

I noticed THIS when checking the former Carriage RV website. So sad another quality RV builder didn't survive.

There's a cute vintage Carriage shown in the auction pics. Looks similar to one on display at the RVMH Hall of Fame Museum.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

i sure would like to get two of the carrier roof top a/c with heat.

the auction listing didn't say if lots would be broken up or not
but they have 12 units
might just have to buy all twelve

Wow, what a shame.....would have never have thought....

I thought is was weird that during the recession they were expanding product lines and claimed to have a 120 day back-log on delivered units. Opened a new factory building. But I also saw over the last 3-4 years retail pricing of their units exploded. They priced themselves out of a large price-point into a high end area where there were fewer buyers.

Who would ever thought names like "Monaco, Safari,Trek, Beaver, Holiday Rambler, would be gone either. Poor Management did those long time TV companies in and thats more than sad, its a shame.

Here is some info on the auction and a warning to bidders. Sounds like the auction company is charging extremely high fees to buyers. Maybe the auction company will be the next to fall with business practices as described.
