I have one in a dump truck that I drive and I really like it. From what I have heard they are a great trouble free engine. Mine has 800,000 kms on it and still going strong.

Well respected engine, and 505 usually is towards the end of it's run, so well sorted out too. For more CAT expertise feedback, post this, or ask the Moderator to move it to he Powertrain under CAT.

Best engine I ever owned in a RV. Better in every way than our current 600 Cat!
