Caulking Removal

I need to repair a seam on my 5'ver. I bandaided it with some ProFlex RV Flex Seal, now I need to need to remove it and make a premanant repair.
Any got any, good, idea how to do it?

I just redid some seams on my MH and used a bath tube sealant remover tool from H-D also a thin screwdriver to get down into seam to get loose sealant. I purchased some Marine Silicone Sealant at West Marine in tube that was very easy to work with and you can dress the seam with your little finger to give a finished-pro look.
I used white but comes in other colors The tube was tuff to squeeze for a small 1/4" bead would use a gun tube next time.

I will be removing my manual satellite antenna and will run into the same thing. I'm planning on using a hair dryer to soften the caulk and a wide putty knife to gently peel the caulking off. I was wondering if there is a solvent that would clean the surface without damaging the roof material.

Paul, I would just get as much of old caulking off as you are doing and not try to get it like new. Any solvents can cause a problem with a rubber roof. Its on the roof no one else will know unless you invite them up there.

I just removed all of the old caulking (over fiberglass) from around my bathroom skylight to reseal a leak. This was basically a flat surface and I used a very sharp ¾"� wood chisel to carefully cut the caulk way, back scraped the most of the remaining caulk with the chisel and then used solvent to clean the rest up. It worked very well. I have a few joints to redo & I will probably use a smaller chisel.
