The radio is not as important as how it is set up. Proper installation of the antennae is number one and to which CB you purchase is easy, whatever one you like that fits your wallet.

We lost our radio when we were in Alaska a number of years ago when the ocean going tug tied up next to us cut loose with his amped up rig.
