In your opion. I use the 19 when needed but our new traveling chat channel is 13. When in a group we natter at each other and by using and advertising 13 we are hoping to gather a general use.

I was into and on the CB radio system long before the word 'yes' was supplanted by "That's a great big 10-4 there good buddy" and regret they ever made all those stupid movies that got the hangers on hanging on.

Your mileage may vary but what good is raining on our parade.

Some think it's their job to rain on others parade.

Can't a CB be set to scan channels?

I think that some people have simply lost sight of our mission here.
It isn't something you have to do and it is certainly not required by anyone to have this on your rig!
We are trying to fire up an age old Channel 13 on the CB to simply add some FUN and a little Security to our time spent on the road!
I absolutely understand that the CB is a dinosaur in many folks minds and that there seems to be a lot of BS on channel 19 but, that is what we are here to change and make that radio useful again!!
Have fun with this and use when you are on the road......if you don't want to.....ummmm... that's great! Just Move On!!

It wasn't any movie that killed CB, it was the advent of the cell phone and GPS software that displays road conditions ahead. It really doesn't matter what channel you use, it's basically dead in the water anyway accross the band. About the only good use for CB these days is when you are in a caravan or group. Then it doesn't make any difference what channel you use, only that you are all on the same one. Preferably 19 so you can hear road conditions ahead from the few that are on there.

I was at Buckaroon campground last month. On the way I had two nice conversations on 13. One with a trucker and one with a fellow rver on the way there. All I know is the decal was what got their attention. I think that while cb may never be like it was. I think it is still a great way to go. I even use a cb in my camper.

CB isn't dead. Not by a long shot. Still the standard means of communication for off-roading.

Just a thought, but you can get a 3x5 oval, in any color background/text/font you want on cafepress.com for $6.50 shipped.

I have not read all 25 pages of posts. But the quote above got me thinking.
If some one is selling a sticker already, Before you print them up you might want to verify that they didn't patent it. If so you might end up in court for cutting in on their concept. I would guess the only thing they could patent would be the phrase used etc etc etc.....
Just a thought

Yea but off roaders are probably less than 5% of the RVers. Big deal.
