CBI for check-in!

Think we may have the S&B sold, so we are checking out the local RV parks since we're planning to stay in one while we pack up and wait for mid December closing. Of the three I checked for a one month stay the new Sam's Town KOA was the last on my list. Had two strange requirements for run of the mill 'Vegas RV park check-ins. One has been discussed here several times before, no older than 10 years old units, but the one that really grabbed me was that for long term stay area, we would have to submit to and pass a Criminal Background Investigation.

The 10 yr old thing is more common that you might expect, the other makes me wonder why I would want to stay in a CG that needed a guest to submit to that.
I would remove it from the last choice to the trash can .

That would be my first choice, but I will have my small personal gun collection stored in the RV and I don't want to go through that hassle.

The KOA came off the list real fast.

Do you have a local Gun Dealer who would store your Collection for a few months while you get organized?

Without the collection to worry about, the "famcamp" would be available. Also most military facilities have Armories available to store privately owned firearms.

I should have said "many" not "most".

[QUOTE=mustang652;2311874]That would be my first choice, but I will have my small personal gun collection stored in the RV and I don't want to go through that hassle.

Do like everybody else and when they ask if you have any weapons just say no. As long as you leave them stored out of sight in the RV and don't talk about them nobody will know.

As far as the other campground running a background check on me it would make me feel safer as long as they ran checks on everybody else. I've had several background checks ran on me due to my jobs. I'm sure that the Air Force ran one or more on you during your career.

If the campground were convenient for me otherwise, CBI wouldn't bother me either - as long as it was done on their dime.

But then paranoia is not something I'm very well known for....
