CDL required?

Anyone know if there are CDL REQUIREMENTS for coaches of certain GVW or length?
Also, does anyone have any fuel consumption numbers for Cummins 600 hp on a 45 foot coach?

CDL requirements will vary by state. You need to check with your state DMV. Once you meet your state's requirements, your license is good for travel anywhere.

We also get 5-7mpg in our coach with the 600hp ISX. Varries with percent bio and terrain. Got 6.1 this weekend from FL to IN. Also note how you drive including speed has a major affect on mpg. Also seem to use around 1gal DEF per 30gal diesel.

As stated above check your state for license requirements.

No state requires a CDL (Commercial Driver License)
Several states will require an upgraded license. Best to check with your state of residence. If you are legal to drive in your state of residence, then you will be legal in all states.

He's probably pretty close, Cummins states its usually around 50:1, 50 gallons of diesel to 1 gallon DEF.

District of Columbia
Hawaii
Indiana
Wisconsin

All require a CDL if certain conditions are met for that state. Example >45' and most likely will not apply to a motorhome as I'm not aware of any over 45'. Over 26,000 pounds for HI and DC.

As stated, many states require special class licenses for certain conditions met.

Check with your state for specific requirements.

Nope. Runs about 3% of diesel use and last trip about 1 gal DEF to 30 gal diesel.

The ISX15 guzzles DEF.

For an RV, no state requires a CDL for weight or length. As you should know, different states have different classes of licenses depending on the type of vehicle. Motorcycle license for example or Texas that requires a Class A if you're over 26000 pounds. It's not a commercial license though. It just says that you understand and have demonstrated proficiency of handling your vehicle.
Fuel economy will be 5-7 mpg.
