To me, that pretty much defines "whine":

.......... 2. to complain or protest in a childish fashion.

I'm sorry you don't understand the concept of respectful adult disagreement on an online forum.

You might want to Google the term "internet warrior".

Sorry for butting in....but..... If I am not mistaken your issue was with replies that attacked the "person" rather than the "concept" or idea. Appears to me that you are now guilty of exactly that!

Sequin addressed your post with a well presented opinion and now you attack him personally!

"Respectful adult disagreement"...... Does it go something like this?

"Gee Whiz Sir, I think I am correct and you are not, so let's talk about
something else."

That certainly is enlightening......

I did google "internet warrior", since I had never heard that term, at
urbandictionary.com.

1. internet warrior ......One who frequents message boards, acting tough and talking down to people to make themselves feel better.

2.Internet warrior.....People with very empty lives that try to act tough on the internet, little realising they're making themselves look like total idiots. The only pleasure they have in life is signing into sites like YouTube and leaving stupid comments and sending people stupid messages. Usually they can barely spell or form a coherent sentence.
Internet warrior = Real life coward

You Sir, I do believe, have insulted me...
However, that is your opinion and in the course of respectful adult
disagreement, I will not delve into your maternal ancestry at this time...
But in my own defense, I can spell and form a sentence. (usually)

And I am not a "Real life coward", I have been married to the same woman
for 43 years, that's REAL bravery....

.

I wish I had never asked the question. Both viewpoints have gotten way too nasty and ugly. Please stop!

Oh... not to worry. It's just boys being boys. Besides isn't it un-American to try and silence dissenting voices?.

Seriously... no one has really been hurt, and on the positive side... I know there are at least couple of campground owners that have heard the message. What they chosse to do with it is up to them.

I have read through all 22 pages of this thread and there are several suggestions offerred.

My personal favaorite... and I think offered by myself. Use Disney's Fort Wilderness as a model. They discourage dumpy RVs and poor behaving patrons by charging a price high enough to weed out those individuals. Pretty simple huh?

Anyone want to be an investor in a campground with multiple phases?

I'm thinking of developing 100 wooded acres into a campground.

Phase 1, 10 acres: Class A motorhomes 10yrs old or newer costing over $500,000 when new. nightly rate triple the normal rate.

- 10 acre buffer

Phase 2, 10 acres: All RV's 10yrs old or newer in good repair.

- 10 acre buffer.

Phase 3, 10 acres: All RV's in good repair.

- 10 acre buffer

Phase 4, 10 acres: All RV's in good repair. No pets or children.

- 10 acre buffer

Phase 5, 10 acres: Anything goes section. No limit on age, condition, of the RV. RV can leak on inside and outside. Camper can perform repairs on site. Alcohol consumption on and off the campers lot. Dogs off leash with no poop pickup. No quiet hours. Ouside TV's with surround system ok.

I'm in!

... but what's the long term plan when Phase 1 & 2 go empty and we're overflowing in Phase 5?

Not much of a chance that phase 1 and 2 will ever go empty, not as long as we have the "Better Than You" crowd . And I think I could get a permanent spot in Phase 5, with my 40 yr old rig,So sounds like a pretty sound investment... Sign me up as a founding contributor... I love the idea.. Where do I send my check?

Me Too! Sign me up... Sounds like phase 5 would be the most fun. I'm sure I would be able to get a few volunteers together for a streaking party through phase 1!

I just booked a weekend at Fort Wilderness 2 days ago. $41 a night in the premium section plus 3 free tics to the park! I'll be bringing the bikes and Jeep as well as my dog! Sure hope I don't bother anybody when I fire up the Harley for a early morning ride....
