Funny how a CG is a 'private business' that has rights to discriminate, but a landlord does not. Imagine if I posted that anyone over 60 must send a pic to be sure they are not too old and wrinkly looking...

I have had to send a picture two or three times over the years and have never been refused. I was either going to a rally or meeting someone there. I really don't have a problem with doing it. If they don't want me there then I don't want to stay there. Most of the time those parks are better than Walmart

But can't a landlord "discriminate" against people with poor credit ratings, those who have a lot of children, etc?

Yep, we can pick and choose who we want. When I built my S&B I choose the neighborhood I didn't choose slum village. Same thing when I pay money for a place with the mh. Don't want a baling wire & duct tape one next to me. I fully support those that try to keep their image up. I also find those that do also enforce their rules more. As for the vintage rv's. Love to see those as long as they are kept up. Jmo

I took a picture of mine and sent it in but made a mistake and I was in the picture. Mailed me back and said that I could bring the RV but I'd have to leave HIM behind.(Too old)

It is NOT "discrimination". It is a campground rule. A business cannot discriminate against a PERSON on the basis of religion, ethnic background, age etc. They can have rules on what vehicles they allow in.
BIG difference.

Not really.. you are not 'allowed' too except where the number of children exceeds the number of bedroom space available, and you 'can' choose based on your assessment to make ongoing payments, but not just because they had trouble in the past.

Doesnt seem to be a question of having money in the OP's case, only the age of the RV he wants to stay in.

Again, if I put in the post the need for, OR, asked ANYONE for a picture, I would be sued by everyone including the State and County. Wonder if I could say 'No one with vehicles over 10 years old can rent my place!"??

You know, technically, its illegal to say 'No smokers', '55 or older', 'No children' (unless theres only room for 1-2 adults), 'No pets', etc, etc..

Not really. if the ones not chosen find you discriminated based on anything other than thier ability to pay, you could get sued out the wazzoo.. There are laws against it.

Not really. I might not be able to afford the best RV, but I CAN pay the monthly CG fees.

As I said, IF they say "We require a picture of your Coach WITH EVERY RESERVATION to make sure it complies with our local safety standards.", then sure, it would be cool. But, to ask 'What year is your coach" and then ONLY ask for the pic after they find its 10 or more years old, IS discrimination.
