We are begining the process of going directly from sticks & bricks to full time RV life. We're both in our 50s. We are looking at used DPs, and that purchase is not dependent on the sale of the house. There seems to be so many things that need to happen to make this as smooth a transition as possible. Purchasing RV, which state to register in (currently in Houston,TX, but no ties there), insurance (RV, dinghy, & health), my license? Declaring a domicile, mail service. And probably 1000 other things I'm not even aware of yet. As experienced RVers, if you had to put together a checklist of doing things in a logical order, what would it look like. Looking forward to your insight.

My two cents is take your time and don't worry about getting it all down in one year. We sold our home and put things in storage and took off. We are in our second year and still have not did even half the things you have listed. But we are having the time or out lives. Wish we did it twenty year ago.....
