Checklist for a newbie

After tent camping for several years we finally broke down and bought a Salem 28ft. We are going camping for a week in about a month.

I feel there is so much that I'm going to forget or not read about before I leave. Can you guys give me a running checklist of what I need and and tips/tricks to be aware of? Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new camper. You're probably already pouring over the manuals...that's going to be a little learning curve for you. Other than getting used to it's systems, getting it level and learning the elect., water and sewer hook ups, you'll probably see little differences between the two...you'll still be camping, albeit in luxurious comfort now!

Watch your tire pressures, get a good portable grill, steaks and a few canned goods and enjoy the adventure... Oh yeah, and

If you have a smartphone, I highly recommend an app called RV Checklist. I use it religiously.

X2. We don't leave without checking everything off. Same on arrival, no cold frosty beverages until everything checked off. Great app.

I thought I was the only one who liked to use checklists! Used them throughout my military career, so why not use them for RVing? I'll be adding it to my collection of apps....thanks!
