Most class A resorts only are selling sites. There are many snobs out there who only want site ownership with upper rigs. I understand it, if that's what they want. I prefer to take my A to a nice home like park, with nice neighbors, I really don't care what they are in as long as mutual respect exist.

To the OP, if you really want to go to a Class A only resort, you should contact them as many will allow upscale Super C and truck conversions also.

When you drive a upscale Super C or truck conversion, I'm sure it doesn't make everything okay if you have to ASK PERMISSION to be ALLOWED to spend your money...(that's not the same as being accepted as an equal).

Don't have to ask. Rules are already posted. Now, if you think your special and want to try to crowd in on someone else's party then you have to ask and it should make you feel unwanted, because by the owners rules and the rest of the guest you are.

I want to say that in our travels and vacations we have camped from one ex stream to the other. In the "class a only" resorts we rent and we have never ran into a "snob" as of yet. All the high end resorts we have stayed at the folks there were all polite and friendly. We have seen a bigger problem when we pull into a normal campground with our rig a lot more folks have looked and stared and watched us and are not friendly toward us, and don't warm up at all over our stay. So this is what we seen in our travels. If I was camping in a pop up or travel trailer and a big class A motorcoach pulled in I would be looking and watching also (and be friendly). It is nothing different when I pull into a resort that is full of Newell and Prevost and high end Coachs, They also watch and look and after we setup and go for a walk they wave and speak. When folks don't look and want to speak I just write them off as just a "Private person" not a snob and keep walking.

Excellent point and observation. I have experienced the same thing. Overall they seem to have more social graces.

I can identify with this. Quite often we are the only "fancy" MH in a park full of vacationing families with trailers and 5ers. Our MH's paint may look pretty good, but it is still a 13 yr old rig. It may have once cost a lot of money, but we didn't pay anywhere near that since we didn't buy it new. Our rig may have features, like a washer/dryer, that your trailer does not, but we live in ours full-time so those sorts of things make more sense for us.

What we find so appealing about RVing is that there are so many different ways people have to use their RV and enjoy their travels. I'm quite surprised to hear folks look at one choice offered to folks with certain tastes as "looking down" on their own choices and tastes. Not everyone likes camping, not everyone likes resorts. Some RVers are camping in comfort, some RVers are sightseeing in their own hotel room they bring with them. For one, I'm thrilled that these choices and options are there to enhance and provide for everyone's idea of their ideal RV experience. Whether it's a state park campground, a class A only resort or even boon docking at the Walmart, it's as true today as it was forty years ago when everyone was saying "different strokes for different folks".

I'm a State Park kind of guy, I just happen to own a Class A motor home instead of a tent these days. Of course, tent campers make fun of us!

Yep, we spend part of every summer visiting family in "short season" camping areas and, because there are no resort or old fogey places in the areas we go to, we end up as the only motorhome in an area of small pull behinds, pop ups, converted bread trucks, and rvs that were new before Japan started making cars.

When in the motorhome we are basically in our apartment on wheels and you would not believe the snide remarks we get about how we do not sit around campfires and only go outside to walk the dog or cook on the grill. Even though we are in a seven year old mid range motorhome we still get the "must be nice" (and worse) comments, enough so that if a Class A only resort were available, that is where we would stay.

I totally disagree with that. This is America. Anyone who wants to make something of themselves can. But when we continue to give them no reason to do so with all the giveaway programs, it will only get worse. But 1st step would be to get out of bed and go to work.

When we visited family and the only campground nearby consisted of numerous vehicles that were junkyard ready we just parked in the driveway at my cousins and dropped down to 110V but at least felt safe.
