Class A campground/resorts only.

Just a question, Am I the only one that questions these rules??? I do not have a million dollar coach but come on. What's wrong and why do they not accept some of the super c's. I own what I feel is a nice 31' super c, Not a Dyna Quest or a $300,000 plus super c but a nice coach that I maintain / wash /wax but not allowed in some of these camp ground/ resorts. Is it that different to purchase a entry level class A and be accepted V/S A nice middle of the road super c and be turned away.??? Just wondering if I'm the only one that questions this.

Some people don't feel good unless they look down on someone.
In this case they're looking down on YOU!
If you want to feel better find someone you can look down upon.
Maybe 5th wheel or trailer owners..... who in turn can look down at pop-up owners...... who can look down on people in tents.

They just don't deserve to have you camp with them and they know it!

I don't understand that train of thought. The misses and I are planning on buying a 42-45' Class A DP that will hopefully be our 1st and last RV. I don't care if I'm parked next to a pop-up or Prevost. People are people no matter what you drive and we're all in this for the same reasons, hopefully to make friends and see the US from a different point of view. I will try to avoid these kind of resorts as that's not the kind of people I want to be associated with.

The owners are not trying to keep us normal RVers out, they are trying to keep out the riff raff that sometimes lives in these RV parks. We go to a nice park on the Gulf Coast, but the owner lets people stay (live) here in dumpy run down RVs, tarps over part of the roof, beat up old truck parked at the site (that doesn't run), junk scattered all over, a refrig/washer sitting out side, etc.

OK now I understand. I thought maybe they were being uppity about the type of rig someone was driving.

Some of them are, just as the thread title states. There are Class A Motorhome only RV parks. HERE is but one example.

Yup .... although I am a Class A owner, I would probably avoid an "A only" facility. I don't need the angst .... there are plenty of other places that will accept my money.

Why can't the Park owners make the rules as they see fit? I have many choices on where I stay and pay my money. Why are some Parks tent camping only? Why can't I stay there if I want? I think many of the Class A only Parks were established before the Super C's came out. Maybe they will reconsider their rules if enough RV'ers contact them. Just a different prospective on the issue. I don't care who my neighbors are as long as they are not slobs, noisy or let their dogs run loose.

They certainly can, and do. My response was merely confirming that, yes, Class A Motorcoach Only RV parks do exist.

I know they can and do but some seem to have a problem with that.

To me this is the same as asking:

Why are there "No Pets" campgrounds?
Why are there "Over 55 only" campgrounds?
Why are there "No Truckcamper" campgrounds?
Why are there "No Tents" campgrounds?
Why are there "No campfires" campgrounds?

The answer in every case is the same:

Because it's a commercial venture on Private Property and makes whatever rules it sees fit in order to serve the market it has chosen.

That sums it up quite nicely.
