Class C Cabover floor support

I have a 2003 Itasca 31T and need to do some work on the cab over. The cab over structure is aluminum. My question is how is the floor supported on the ends, does it sit on the aluminum frame? . Also, my floor is 1" thick, does it have to be 1" or will 3/4 ply work?

Thanks in advance
