We got a Eureka upright from Walmart. Not a full size one, but one of the more compack models. Uses a canister instead of bags, has a better bar and the handle comes off to use as a hose attachment. Light weight and fits in the closet of the mh just fine. I would also encourage anyone who does not use entry mats to get some. The heavy rubber backed, carpet on top, mats work really well and last a long time. They're the kind you see rental companies like Cintas and others put on the floors of businesses.

We carry a Oreck which stores neatly under the bed. Does much better job than the stick model we carried before. I also carry a mini tank type which stacks on 5-gallon bucket (called bucket head).

Bucket Head Wet/Dry Vac - BH0100 at The Home Depot

Not a bad price, and free shipping. Cord and hose are a little short, but that can be changed. I have a Craftsman 1.6HP and it suck just fine.

Have a Dirt Devil bag less upright 13amp vacuum purchased at Target for about $60. It is small and light enough to get around everything in the 5er. Hand attachments for furniture and crevices work great. It works many times better than our heavy Hoover upright at home.

We have a vacuum cleaner in our motor home, and we have a small Shark floor sweeper. To tell the truth we use the floor sweeper all the time. It is small, easy to use with no cords to drag around, and if used daily cleans keeps the floors as clean as a vacuum. Then I do a super clean when I get back home. Easy and Cheap

We have a roomba that we use in the coach. Turn her (Hazel) loose and she will clean the entire coach in a short period of time.

I've used the Roomba for years in my stick built, plan to use it in my MH as well. I also have a Roomba that I turn loose in my office at work. Great entertainment factor, and I've always had great luck, plus the company backing them (irobot) can't be beat for service.

Knowing my dog, she would bark at every move it made.

Another vote for the iRobot Roomba. I bought the Roomba 650 at Costco after reading several good reviews about it here in this forum

My DW is the ultimate skeptic and said I was crazy for spending the money on one. I overheard her the other day on the phone, telling one of her friends how well it worked. Doubt she'll ever admit it to me though...

Dunner, you are probably right. My boxer, when he was a puppy, learned if he stepped on it, he could turn it on. 2am and he'd be helping me do the house work. LOL. I finally had to move the charging station under a bookcase. My cat hated the thing, she would do her "vulture" act, sit up high and stare at it. Then she got brave and would come up and swat it. That would only cause it to change direction, back at her. As I said, the amusement factor was worth every penny.

Will have to do some research on the Rombas. Sounds interesting. I know Sadie would paw and growl at it till it moved, then run. LOL.

I didn't like my Rumba. Entertaining but didn't pick up very well. After some research I bought a Hoover linx. It is cordless and has a beater bar. Lightweight stick type vac. About $180 but does the job well. Bagless. Easy to store Use the Dyson when we get home.

I've got a stick type and a Dyson. Probably should try them first before getting a Romba. Both are bag-less and easy to clean.
