Cleveland Clinic RV Parking

My wife will be having heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic soon, and I understand they offer RV parking with W/E for $60/night. Pricy, yes, but has to be cheaper than staying in a hotel.
We are taking the motorhome, which I will stay in for the duration of her surgery stay.
I am wondering if anyone here has used the RV parking there and can offer any insight.
The nearest campground is at least 40 minutes away.

There are several VFW posts and Moose lodges in the area, if you belong to one of them. Or maybe the Elks. It would cost less than one nights stay at the clinic to join one of the fraternal orginazations. We have never been turned away from either the VFW or Moose if they had a large lot and nothing going on. Check with a church nearby. I can see why you would not want to leave your motorhome in a Walmart lot unattended all day. I would do a lot of looking before I paid $60. Pay it and it only encourages them.

I wish your wife all the luck.

I know the area around the clinic a little bit, I would tell you flat out I would never leave my coach anywhere around that area. There may be an area at the clinic for a motor home I'm just not aware of it, it seems you asked the hospital this question, they do have police patrols on their grounds. Nothing at the Clinic is inexpensive the price you quoted seems high but in line with everything else, when I take my daughter it cost me $10.00 for several hours. Cleveland is a busy metropolitan area it has no campgrounds. The Cleveland Clinic is one of the best around, good luck to your DW on her surgery and your quest for a place to park you motor home.

Thank you all for the good wishes and information. I'm sure all will go well.
I do know the RV parking is in a gated area, I have to leave a deposit for a gate opener when we check in, so I'm not too worried about security. As for price, well, the hotels on site are going for $200+/night, so this is a bargain I think. The website says they have a dump station in the lot also.
I will post more about it next month when we arrive, hopefully that will be informative for future IRV2 members that travel to the clinic for surgery.

Currently sitting in the parking lot at Cleveland Clinic. Wife went in for heart valve surgery this morning. So I'm a bit frazzled.
But I can't say enough good things about this place. Great doctors and staff. It really is a heart factory, they have it down to a science.
They have a few RV sites 1 block from the heart hospital. The electric has a mind of it's own, and I am having difficulty running the a/c and have to use the generator from time to time, but I don't care. I'm in my own motorhome and bed, and it's free, (at least until they get the electric fixed). And there are water hookups also. Beats $200/night at the hotels.
Now I just need to find a dump station....

Good luck to you both.

You might see if there is a Flying J or a Love's on I90 or I77

Parking in Cleveland Clonic area

The Cleveland Clinic is in an area that I wouldn't leave my MH for very long. The $60 might be worth it for the access and security.

Wish your wife the best in her surgery.

I am glad to hear your wife is doing better! $60 to me is reasonable compared to paying $30-$40 per night miles away, then I would have to drive my car and have fuel and parking charge for it. Plus the advantage of walking across the street for a short break from caring for your loved one. Just my opinion, but I would definitely pay for the convenience! Good luck to your wife!
