Seems someone might have accidentally put a tampon in. On my way home for the end of the season and want to have it fixed before I put the rv away for the winter. Can I use Drano or a product like that? Can I access the blades easily?

Don't use anything like Draino or any harsh chemical cleaner in the Techma. Unfortunately you are going to have to remove the toilet to gain access to the macerator pump which should be located behind the toilet in a recessed space. If you can look and see behind your toilet you can see the hoses and macerator pump. There are two bolts holding the toilet down onto the flange so it is not a really difficult job. Good Luck.....

http://www.amazon.com/Cobra-Zip-It/dp/B002YFVFSU This might work if there are not too many turns between the bowl and blades. You can find them at any of the big box stores.

Tampon? Ewww!
Why is it that so many of the best things in life sometimes have strings attached?

So here is the fix. The culprit and I were on I81 crossing the PA state line and there was Keystone RV right at exit 1! So I pulled in about 12:30 on a gamble. What a great bunch. Explained the problem, they did a little research and out came the toilet. Macerator is within the base. Only a small tube went below.

Cannot believe how accommodating they were and how quickly they had me on my way.
:cla p:

What else can I say about them?
