The Escapees RV Forum Changes at Coacch Net - Escapees Discussion Forum has some very troubling comments pertaining to the lack of customer service knowledge at Coach Net.

I am seriously thinking of leaving them after 10 yrs.

What has been your experience in 2011, after the consolidation between Coach-Net and NMC?

There's a thread running at the same time of this one titled "Good Sam ERS". Some have commented on Coach Net.

Thanks Dave, I just didn't want to hijack that thread.

The only thing I would say is, "are you having trouble with Coach Net?". It doesn't sound like you are. It sounds like you've heard some rumors or other 3rd hand info and are contemplating making a decision based on that. We've been Coach Net customers since 2003 and have no reason to change. The last time we used coach net was maybe 3 or 4 months ago and they were competent and helpful just like they've always been. If I had a different experience I might be looking too. However, I would never sever a long term relationship based solely on what someone else has said. I'd have to have more evidence than that to move elsewhere. Rumors and hearsay sometimes are based on fact, but sometimes based on thin air.

Blamed hitting debris on I10 near Quartzite that completely disabled our coach as an accident---call your insurance carrier (whose claims are closed on Sundays)---we aren't coming to get you...

Sheriff just laughed when I asked him to write up an accident report----unavoidably hitting a unfurled bedroll from some idiot teenager's spring break truck that flew out is not an accident----its debris. Sad thing is it got wrapped around the driveshaft took out all the wiring and hydraulics nearby that led to immediate transmission failure within 2 miles of the incident

It doesn't make any difference which ERS you're talking about, you'll find dissatisfied customers. We were with Good Sam's ERS for many years and had occasion to use them two different times...once for a tow, once for a tire change. We had excellent service each time. Yet, you'll find people who will dis Good Sam's ERS at every opportunity because THEY had a bad experience. I put the people dissing CoachNet into the same category.

Well emergency roadside service is definitely something that has to be something you count on with something as large as a motorhome. Its not like you can throw it in neutral and push it to safety. Fact is, if I had not had a friend in the towing/wrecking big rig industry, we'd still be on I10 sitting by the side of the road, while Coach-Net argued with Main insurance carrier over who was going to do something
